A few months ago in May, I was contacted by Robin about working with her on her engagement portraits. Her fiance, Eric was currently living in Winter Park finishing up his Grad degree, while she was still in Connecticut working as a Teacher and planning their wedding. She knew that over the summer she would be here in Florida to visit Eric, and they both thought doing the session at the beach would be a fun and different idea for them. Over the next week we worked out the details and we scheduled their session for the beginning of July. Being that it has been crazy raining every afternoon, I was worried we would get rained out; but as the date drew closer, the weather cooperated.
On July 8th in the evening I drove over to Lighthouse Point Park in Ponce Inlet, FL. I really love this park because even if crowded there is always plenty of spot to take photos. Additionally with the rocky landscape it is quite different than many of the other beaches here in Florida. What I found out on this day however, is that although the park is open until right after sunset, (which is 9:00 pm in the Summer) they stop collecting entry fees at 7:00 pm. Usually it is $10.00 dollars to enter but that day I got in free. Hooray Me!!
Once parked I met with Robin and Eric and we started our session. Both of them were fun and really easy to work with. Not to say anything bad about the men, but sometimes it is very hard to work with guys when you want them to be lovey dovey for photos. Yet, Eric was pretty much on-board with whatever I suggested. In fact. I have been quite lucky with my last 4 to 6 sessions as all the Men have been really great. Anyway, I am a complete sarcastic joker and love to have fun with my clients. I find it relaxes them and gives them the opportunity to just be themselves.
Below are some of the photos we took that day and the session slideshow I created for them. This slideshow has been put to the song, "Holy" by Florida Georgia Line. Enjoy!!
